1960S
Stephen’s style transforms in the 1960s, moving away from abstraction towards figuration. Returning to his rural roots, Stephen starts spending time in Pennsylvania and exploring coastal Maine. His work begins to depict subjects ranging from apple picking and nudes to horses and Pam harvesting vegetables.
